Find out more about the Rise UP Women’s Resilience Retreat

June 28, 2023

The Rise Up Retreat is an all inclusive four day escape for women who have been navigating a challenging period of time, grief or loss, feel like they’ve lost direction or simply need to press pause and take time out.

  • It is for women who feel stuck depleted or overwhelmed and need to start taking the time to prioritise themselves.
  • It is for women who are at a crossroads and know they need to make a change but are not sure of the next steps.

The Rise Up Retreat TM offers a kind safe and supportive environment with a step-by-step pathway including classes, seminars and workshops to help women transform life challenges into clarity and resilience. It is all inclusive of accomodation, all catering, classes, workshops, seminars and a take home manual and gift bag.

Many of the women who attend our retreats have been navigating a challenging period of time, we all have our stories big and small. This retreat offers kindness, courtesy, support and respect without judgement toward all attendees. We operate from a safe place of compassion and open hearted care. We arrive with the same intention. That we need to press pause and start looking after ourselves to build our own resilience.

We all have a past and we do not sit in a circle and share our stories on this retreat.

The purpose of the retreat is to press pause on where you are and learn to start taking steps to help yourself build resilience and transform life‘s challenges.

  • It is not suitable for women who are not ready to make a change or put some work in for themselves.
  • It is not designed to provide one-on-one counselling services or intended to replace one on one counselling or therapy. However, for those suitable, we welcome women who would like additional support in a group environment.
  • You don’t need to be good at yoga and there are no trophies for the best down dog.
  • You don’t need to know how to meditate.
  • You just need the willingness to take the step and say yes to prioritising you.

We do not take online bookings. We care about each and every woman on retreat, so we take the time on a one on one call to get to know you, find out what you need and if we offer suits you! Our retreats book out quickly and can only be booked with a connection call. We can also answer all of your questions on our call.

This retreat has been developed over the period of five years following the loss of our son Baxter. I found myself transformed from a happy confident woman who was running my own successful  physiotherapy and teaching business, to an empty shell of my former self. It was during this time I realised I had spent many years looking after everybody else’s health, yet had no idea how to start looking after my own.

I ruminated in a place of grief, sadness, anxiety, resentment and brain fog for a long time before realising that I needed to make a change. I was depleted, overwhelmed, lacked confidence and motivation. I needed to take new steps in order to start living my life rather than just surviving my life.

So I re-trained. Using my passion for women’s health and my physiotherapy qualifications I also expanded to have a better understanding of grief, mind health, mindset, stress management, and motivation.

I searched the world over to help myself with courses, workshops and training to better understand my own mind health and to help myself move forward. This included walking on hot coals at a Tony Robbins event (yikes!) to qualifications as a mindfulness meditation teacher and the Dr Demartini facilitator training program.

I’ve taken the best pieces from what I have learnt and put it together in a simple framework to help women through life’s crap. A framework to help women build resilience, navigate life’s challenges and find the motivation to move forward with clarity, joy and enthusiasm again. A framework that combines the science of mind-health, practical tools to help women build resilience and all with the authenticity of a women who has walked your path. This framework is called Rise UP.

I began sharing and teaching this framework and soon realised that so many women, just like myself, have been navigated life‘s challenges and need a chance to be able to build resilience.

I’ve also discovered that grief has so many faces and forms for women. Relationship breakdowns, health problems, separation, career changes, loss. Giving too much and life wearing thin. Life tipped upside down and just not turning out as planned. Losing direction, confidence and motivation. It can feel dark. It can feel lonely. It can feel like you’re simply treading water and no one on this earth understands. Although our stories will be different, our pathways and steps toward navigating with resilience will be the same.

  • We need the chance to press pause and start prioritising ourselves
  • We need practical tools on how to regulate our emotions, manage stress, conquer self talk and build mindset and confidence
  • We need to rediscover our strengths and find our own values in order to find direction, as well as the courage to step forward without self-doubt.
  • We need simple steps to be able to set boundaries and create a pathway forward.

My early workshops for women were popular, however after spending many years enjoying yoga retreats in Bali, I knew that this information would be best presented in a more relaxed four day format. Where women also have the chance to press pause, connect and nurture themselves with the chance to create some time out. We can all benefit from pressing pause from time to time!

So the Rise UP women’s resilience retreats were born.

Women from all walks of life and backgrounds have loved this retreat to help them find clarity, confidence and courage once more. Women walk away with tools to help them navigate, time to reset and an action plan to help them move forward.
